Grangee Explains Theme Park Safety
Dear Predident of Disneyworld:
On January 17. -1975 4 of us ladies from Massachusetts went to Disneyworld and was having a great time until we went on the “Space Mountain and -MM even fortunate to be able to snap a picture of two Hollywood stars-Lucy Arnez and Lylle Wagonner who had planned to be making a picture at D.W.
I heared while waking about D.W. that this “Space Mountain” had only been opened for two days and so that it ment we were some of the newer riders of such. I know their was a sign posted and a girl attendant suggested us to read it before boarding. I didn’t read sign as with time limitations to cover such a huge area time is so limited. If I had seen a sign “Danger” on This Amusement as Rollercoaster I would not have boarded. No record of person said put your straps about you and results I went in front of my friend unfastened- not knowing how hard it would be to ride in this S.M. Results: I held on for dear life and tried not to bounce back on my friend as to injure her and whee when coming down my body went off from seat and banged down injuring my spinal bone. I’m fortunate I heal quite quickly even tho my whole visit I walked about in pain.
Reaon for leter not for me as I’m ok. Just so you may warn other people by a huge sign stating Danger or whatever you may see that will help others as not to get injured. I really had my mind set to write you immediately after I reached home but as you can see I wouldn’t make the best secretary.
Hope you’ll have someone stationed at the S.M. and ask how they enjoyed their ride or whatever. Be interesting to me to recieve word as to whether you recieved any other complaints on this S.M. All 4 of us were very surprised to recieve such a swift ride but I know if we had tekened time to read sign we wouldn’t have gone on such. Trying to help other on such-if sign can really aler them or loud tape 1st. Well older folks, etc.
We 4 of us spent 2 days at the park and also came back for an evening at the Polenesian Restaurant. Thanks for Listening-A Patron of the Park
Mrs. Muriel Gillooly (Grangee)
Grangee turns 89 years old on February 28th, and I’m glad to say that her health has markedly improved since the last update… definitely a time for celebration!
As you can see from her last video, Grangee loved your Twitter greetings and wishes for her health. Thanks again to all of you from my entire family.
For her birthday, I’d like to up the ante a bit and make Grangee a video birthday card. If you have the means to record a short video (could be a simple “Happy Birthday, Grangee!”, could be longer), please send a link to birthday@grangee.com by Feb 25th. I’ll compile these into one long movie for Grangee’s viewing pleasure.
If a video is out of the question, I’ll make sure she gets any other kind of greeting you send to birthday@grangee.com, as well.
Thanks again, guys. Grangee really appreciates how much you all care about her. I hope your year has been going well, and that your families are healthy and happy.
cheers,
Matt

Hi folks. Some sad news today. Grangee’s in the hospital. This isn’t the right venue to get into the details, but suffice it to say, she could use your well-wishes right around now.
If you’re on Twitter, you can send a message (either an @reply or a direct message) to @grangee. I’ll be sure to print those up and deliver them to her… She and I, and the rest of the family really appreciate your support.
Lastly, an update on the books… I haven’t been very good about uploading the excerpts I promised, but I definitely want to make sure they’re available to everyone who wants one. Please use the waitlist form (no obligation!) if you would like to be contacted as soon as the next batch is ready to ship.
thanks for your love and support,
Matt
100 of Grangee’s best poems have been collected into book form, and I just recieved my first proof copy. It looks amazing, and it’s a steal at $8 plus shipping and handling.
In the near future, I’ll post a few excerpts from the book, and hopefully some video commentary from Grangee, herself. All of Grangee’s decendants are authorized to take advance orders in person, and we’ll be accepting online orders here once the first edition is printed. (soon!)
If you’ve enjoyed Grangee’s insights half as much as I have, this book will rock your world. I can’t wait to get a copy in your hands!
cheers,
Matt
